Dear Sir Ferdinand.
In my rambles today looking for E. Behriana
3
See J. Brown to M, 28 October 1879, and J. Brown to M, 11 November 1879 (in this edition as 79-11-11b).
I came across the following: please name them:
No. 1. A small tree 20ft. high; bark deciduous in large flakes leaving the inner bark smooth and of a light-grey color; foliage massive and very ornamental; found growing on a deep marley-clay soil in Wirrabara Forest.
4
Marginal annotation by M: 'E. Behriana'.
No. 2. A Mallee, dense of foliage and general growth, about 15ft. high (sometimes 25 ft.) bark deciduous and of a darkish color. Luxuriates on dry limestone ridges. Very general on eastern side of Wirrabara Forest.
5
Marginal annotation by M: 'E. oleosa.'
I go north by Pt Augusta
