whether you have seen the quarto-publication "Minnesskrift" of the centenary jubilee of the phyiographic Society of Lund,

i.e. physiographic: see Fysiografiska Sällskapet (1878).

which appeared in 1878, but has only just reached me. In it Phyllachne (Forstera) subulata

In B73.04.02, pp. 39-41, M had recommended, on priority grounds, that the genus usually known by Linnaeus's name, Forstera, should be given the name published earlier by the Forsters, Phyllachne. In B78.06.01, he described as a species named by J. Hooker as Stylidium subulata.

is raised to a new genus as by Dr Berggren,

Berggren (1878).

and he describes and figures besides new species of , , , , , , , , Carex, Poa (2 sp, some of which seem to me mere varieties of known sp. If you have no copy of this work in your Wellington Institution, I can send you mine on loan. You like of course to be posted up in the literature of N.Z plants & might wish to give notices on these supposed or real additions to the Flora of your islands in the next volume of the Institute.

It does not seem that he got your new Carex altho' his comes near to it. His is only half an inch high.
