Hiermit, geehrten Herr Tepper, die Namensliste Ihrer letztegesandten Pflanzen. Es ist recht erfreulich zu sehen, wie Sie nach u nach die Pflanzen Ihrer Gegend zusammenbringen. Dies Alles hilft mit für die Geographie der Pflanzen. In den Weihnachtsferien werden Sie vielleicht einen längern Streifzug übernehmen können. Ob wohl nicht manche der seltnen Port Lincoln-Pflanzen sich auch nahe Cape Spencer befinden? Von den Gewächsen der Thistle Insel, Gambier Insel u Banks Insel kenne ich gar nichts. Vielleicht giebt es an deren Kuste eine Fülle von Algen.

Kennen Sie niemand, der in der Kängeruh Insel ansässig ist, u für geringe Vergütung dort sammeln würde. Samen von wären recht erwünscht, da diese Art klein bleibt u so in europäischen Gewächshäusern besser cultivirt werden kann als A. pycnantha. Ich habe eben kein Photogram zur Hand, werde aber eins anfertigen lassen. Es würde mich freuen auch Ihre Photographische Karte zu besitzen.

Welche Höhe erreicht bei Ihnen, u giebt es dort vielleicht 2 Arten eine mit eiformig-cylindrischen Beeren, die andere mit kugeliger Frucht? Blumen, reife Beeren &c dieser beiden Formen oder Arten sind der Beobachtungwerth

All this helps for the geography of the plants. In the Christmas holidays, you will perhaps be able to undertake a longer expedition. I wonder whether some of the rare Port Lincoln plants are also not to be found near Cape Spencer?

At the southern tip of Yorke Peninsula, SA.

Of the plants of Thistle Island, Gambier Island and Banks Island

Thistle Island, the Gambier Islands and the Joseph Banks Group are all near the mouth of Spencer Gulf, SA.

I know nothing at all. Perhaps there is an abundance of algae on their coasts.

Do you know anybody who is resident on Kangaroo Island,

and would collect there for a small payment? Seeds of would be very much desired, because this species remains small and so can be cultivated in European hot-houses better than A. pycnantha. I have no photograph just to hand, but will have one made. I would be pleased also to have your photographic card.

What height does reach at your place, and are there perhaps 2 species there, one with ovoid-cyclindrical berries, the other with spherical fruit? Flowers, ripe berries &c of both these forms or species are worth observing.
