To Baron von Mueller
Dear Sir,
Having seen some time back in the 'Leader',
2
B77.06.02 fits this description. No more recent version in the Leader has been found.
a copy of a circular letter from you stating that you would send names of plants to any person, wishing to form a collection; I take the liberty of writing to you, to ask the names of a few plants. I have often wished to make a collection of the wild flowers that grow about here, but I have never, hitherto, been able to muster up courage to do so — I do not know whether I have dried, and sent the specimens properly, as I never saw any thing of the kind done.
This place has been so blue with number 1 this year. No 2 is more plentiful this season than I have seen anywhere. No 5 I have only seen in one place near a waterhole, I have never seen any flowers on it.
I shall be very much obliged if you will be so kind as to send the names of the plants.
I remain dear Sir
Yours very respectfully
A. E. Ryland
