Sir,
I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 20th instant,
and to inform you that Mr. Steel was appointed a Trustee of the Royal Park, by Order
of the Governor in Council on the 18th. November last, as notified in the Government
Gazette of the 22nd idem.

The notification of gazettal was forwarded to the Honorable T. J. Sumner M.L.C. on
the 28th November, 1878, — that gentleman having been previously in correspondence
with the Department regarding the Trust.

Sumner was Chairman of the Trustees, while M was Secretary.
Mr Steel has been so apprised.
