My dear Sir
Let me hope that long before this can reach you that you will have recovered from your sad sickness. I have just received a letter from the Palmer

stating that the lemon scented Ironbark is not yet in flower but that as soon as it does flower I shall receive some specimens which I shall of course send to you I send by todays post a few either new things or new for habitats

In his notebook (Notebook, Colonial Botanist, Queensland Herbarium, Brisbane), Bailey recorded under this date, ‘Baron Mueller sent specimens of a new form of Daviesia corymbosa Sm or a new species from Eight Mile Plane [Qld] Also Acacia hispidula Willd. & Notelaea ovata from same place’.
