For the text given here, see Record and Emerald Hill and Sandridge advertiser , 13 September 1878, p. 2, as the first of a number of testimonials included an advertisement for ‘Victorian Concentrated Forage Food’ placed by Nicholas Wm. Thomas. The advertisement, including M’s endorsement, was regularly inserted in the newspaper thereafter until at least 20 February 1880.
I have examined Mr. N. W. Thomas’s Concentrated Forage Food, and find that it is composed of protein, starchy and oily alimentary substances, combined with some vegetable tonic, in a manner to be both highly nutritive and wholesome, also promotive of the digestive functions.
