My dear Doctor,
I have forwarded by steamer a small parcel of the fruits of Capparis Mitchellii from the Namoi.

Some of them are some what bruised.
I have enclosed in the parcel for your determination a specimen of the so common here,

& also one of Sinapis . Is the latter S. arvensis ? It grows amongst wheat. The third specimen is, I think, Atriplex semibaccata , which I find grows on the Hawkesbury, as well as the Cudgegong

near Mudgee. I never saw this plant near Sydney or Parramatta.
I forget whether I mentioned to you that (the common hemp) has been introduced & grows wild here. (fumitory) now occurs from Port Jackson to the Blue Mountains.
Will you kindly tell me whether the Hibiscus from which the Rosella jam is made, is H. Sabdariffa ?
