The honorable Graham Berry, M.L.A.,
Chief Secretary.
Sir
I have the honor to transmit herewith a report on the forest-resources of West-Australia,
which document has arisen from my observations during November & December last, when
on request of the hon. Mr. Goldsworthy, C.M.G., you were so good to permit me to prolong
my travels with a view of investigating the forests of that Colony. As a forest-board
has recently been appointed there, and as it is expected from me to furnish a report
on the results of my observations, I would respectfully suggest, that this document
be forwarded to the honorable the Colonial Secretary of Western Australia for communication
to the honorable Malcolm Fraser, Chairman of the Forest-Board of that Colony.
