species, not therefore one from Queensland. Hence I cannot describe it in the fragmenta, but will do so in the next number of the Papuan plants.

The next part of M’s Papuan plants was not issued until 1885 (B85.06.03); Dendrobium cincinnatum is the only Orchid species in that part listed as provided by Bailey, and it had been described by M in B85.05.01 from a cultivated specimen sourced from 'South Eastern New Guinea'. The Dendrobium kennedyi listed in IPNI was described in 1921. The name in this letter is presumably a name suggested by Bailey in the letter not found, but it might not have been what M described as D. cincinnatum.
I must find a Q.L. plant, to name in honor of his Excellency.
