I have the honor to solicit permission, that at the Governm. Printing Office the lithographic
drawings for an an
intended industrial Atlas of the Eucalypts may be printed, if the issue of these
plates with descriptive text for technologic purposes should meet with your approbation.
Mr Ferres, so I learn, has the requisite means for carrying out the work.

File annotated: 'Approved G. B.'. On 27 July, M wrote on the file: 'Will the Undersecretary
kindly arrange, that effect is given to this approval of the honorable the Chief Secretary.
Ferd. von Mueller.' The file was referred to the Government Printer on 28 July 1877,
requesting him ‘to arrange with the Government Botanist about getting the work done’.
It was ‘noted &returned’ by him on 2 August, and referred back to M with the comment:
'The Government Botanist will perceive that the Govt Printer has received instructions
3 Agt 1877 W. H. Odgers'. To this, M replied: 'Returned with best thanks. Ferd von
