File annotated: 'Approved G. B.'. On 27 July, M wrote on the file: 'Will the Undersecretary kindly arrange, that effect is given to this approval of the honorable the Chief Secretary. Ferd. von Mueller.' The file was referred to the Government Printer on 28 July 1877, requesting him ‘to arrange with the Government Botanist about getting the work done’. It was ‘noted &returned’ by him on 2 August, and referred back to M with the comment: 'The Government Botanist will perceive that the Govt Printer has received instructions 3 Agt 1877 W. H. Odgers'.
