I have the honor to acknowledge with thanks, receipt by steamer of a bag of roots
of plants for sowing in drift sand.
The plants have been set, and are likely to do well.
The Curator of the Botanical Gardens
informs me that there are already very many of these plants growing near the sea-shore,
and thriving in a healthy state.
