Enclosed are all the sheets of the School Flora that we have hitherto received
— It will be a great pity if it cannot be published, though I must confess I do not
like to see the introduction of such new terms as
fruitlets
in place of
carpels
which every child should be taught.

I cannot find any one to recommend the sending you the
Elymi
in
Sea-Sand
nor were the plants to survive the voyage, would they be multiplied into a useful
quantity [under] many years. What you really want is for Govts to take up such a matter
in a large & liberal scale or not at all.
