The honorable the Chief Secretary
Sir,
I have the honor to solicit, that the sum of £1800 may be placed on the public works
estimate for the new financial year to provide
buildings
for my Department. The sum of £900 for building purposes on this years estimate has
been saved; therefore only in reality for a similar new sum being asked, with a view
that the two united amounts may enable me to obtain a proper building for my departmental
use. This after all would furnish only limited building accommodation as compared
to that of all other Departments
I have the honor to be,
Sir, your obedient
Ferd. von Mueller.
