Sir
I have been requested by the Trustees of the Royal Park to solicit that the Honorable
the Minister of Lands may be pleased to consider the adaptability of the byfollowing
rules and regulations
for the protection and management of the Royal Park and, in the event of these meeting
with the Ministers approval, to ask that they may receive departmental legality under
the 108th section of the Land Act of 1869, and be published in the Govt Gazette

At their meeting on 30 January 1877, the Trustees of Royal Park received a letter from the Secretary of Lands presenting to them the Crown Grant of the Park, and adopted a code of rules and regulations
for the management of the area. Following a discussion of their power to enforce such
regulations, they agreed to rely on the authority of the Board of Land and Works,
and accordingly to seek the Board's authorization for the regulations they had adopted.
