Records of South Australia, Adelaide). Letters issued by the Surveyor General's Office
would have been sent over Goyder's name.

In M to A. Petermann, 18 January 1877, M alerted Petermann that he would 'receive the last map and the journal of Giles
with this post. They have just been published in Adelaide at Mr Elder's request' (as a Parliamentary paper, Giles (1876)). There was an essay review of Giles's journals, including E. Giles (1876), in
Argus, 23 January, pp. 5-6, confirming that it was available in January 1877.
