The Belfast Gazette added that M's letter informed the Council 'that another parcel of seeds was being
sent to the Council. Part of this consisted of Morass grass, and he recommended that
the half be sown at once on the loose coast sand in the district. The other part consisted
of lupin seeds, which were also for binding the loose sand, but they should only be
sown in places to which cattle could not get access. It was agreed that a letter of
thanks be forwarded to the Baron' (Belfast Gazette, 6 October 1876).
