Dr Mueller
Sir
Sometime ago I read a note in the Newspapers requesting seeds of native flowers to be sent to you
3
B76.04.02 etc?
to make up your Catalogue.
If not too late I herewith enclose you a sample of a creeper I found in the Scrub in this neighbourhood. I have cultivated it these 10 years & it now covers all the front fence of my garden. It begins to flower in June & to the end of Augt it appears as in No 1. in Septr & October it begins to shoot out its silver petals as in No 2 & they grow an inch long, then in Novr they curl up like little feathers into a round ball & by the end of December the seed is ripe. I do not think it is common for every body admires it, but no one can tell me its name, perhaps you would favour me with it as no doubt you have come across it in your travells & if not too late for your Catalogue I shall feel happy in forwarding you some seed in December when ripe —
Does Government allow any fancy flower seeds to be sent from the Botanical Gardens? & if so to whom should I apply for a few
I have the honor to remain
Sir
your humble Servant
Alexander Paul
