On 9 August 1876, the Secretary for Agriculture wrote forwarding specimens to the Chief Secretary ‘for nomenclature and description by Gt Botanist’. The letter was forwarded to M on the same day, with this annotation. M replied on 11 August (letter not found) and his report was forwarded to the Secretary for Agriculture on 14 August.
