Sir,
I have the honor to inform you that I have forwarded per S. S. "Otway", to arrive on Saturday the 5th instant, a bag containing 7lbs each of the seeds received from the Honble the Chief Secretary addressed to you, & which you can obtain upon application to the [steamer].
The seeds are named as follows, according to the description forwarded with them;

Perhaps you would do the Council the favor of sending any information you have with respect to habits, planting etc. of these seeds, so as to guide the Curator in his operations of sowing them out in sandy soil.
