B61.05.02, p. 162.
The description as far as I can make it out tallies with that in Flora Aust. I. 460.
3
is described in Bentham (1863-78), vol. 4, p. 460.
The locality is at Head of Etheridge River on Newcastle Range.

No. 236 which I sent you tallies I think with S. petrophilum F.v.M. in Linnea XXV. 433.

B53.04.01, p. 433.
The Calyx is prominently ribbed & is almost reduced to the five linear ribs in the fruit. This species also often has white flowers at least I judge it to be the same from its general appearance. Common here on the Etheridge.

I could not find any fruiting specimens of No. 36 or would have gathered them. I am getting a better sort of Field Book made 19 x 12 with boards as described in Balfours "Botanists Companion.

I find that the leather one which I carry bulges when many papers are put into it. It is common harness leather for I could not get sole leather up here. I intend to have two. As I generally have plenty of Packhorses & when out for a month I often am sorely puzzled how to carry all my specimens.
I have a dry cone of C. Cairnsiana

which I brought with me from the Robinson

Robinson River, NT? No other evidence has been found that Armit was as far west as this at this period.
I mean the young fruiting branches which form in a knob on the summit of the stem. Would you like to have it? I also enclose a small plant which I found on the Gilbert River.
