I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of the new volume of the Danish Society for Natural History.

See W. Odgers to M, 22 May 1876. The run of Videnskabelige meddelelser Dansk naturhistorisk forening i Københaven at the Library of Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne is incomplete but includes the volume for 1875, which was issued early in 1876 and is therefore probably the volume that M is acknowledging.
I beg to ask, whether the Agent General has also facilities for return-sendings, and if so, whether such can be sent to that Gentleman direct or must be forwarded through your office.

On 26 May 1876 the Under Secretary, W. Odgers, noted: 'Any return presentations shd be sent to the Agent General through this Office'.
