I have the honor to inform you, that the small sum only again this third year granted for the service of my Department, does not suffice to meet the most urgent requirements, and as stated repeatedly before it was only possible to maintain some efficience for my Departmental work by the sacrifice of my own income mainly therefor. Hence, of course there cannot possibly any surplus be derived from my votes or saved therefrom.
