Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Fossiliferous siliceous deposit from the Richmond River, N.S.W.', a paper delivered to the Royal Society of NSW by Liversidge on 6 December 1876 (Liversidge (1877)). M's description of the fossil genus Liversidgea (B77.13.06) is appended to the paper immediately after the text given here. The letter is dated to 1876 as the most likely year in which Liversidge sought assistance while he was working up his paper.
[Also scattered irregularly through these layers and the solid substance of the mineral, the remains of certain fruits and seeds are met with.
These latter were submitted to the Baron von Müller, C.M.G., M.D., F.R.S., the highest authority upon Australian Botany, who at once pronounced them to belong to a new genus;
