I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 25th ult.

i.e. M to J. MacPherson, 25 October 1875.

requesting that authority may be given for printing at the Government Printing Office certain papers illustrative of the plants of New Guinea, and to inform you that the Chief Secretary has approved of the application and that the Government Printer has been instructed accordingly.

B75.11.01 is the first fascicle in the eventual series and is included in the bound volume B77.13.14.
