Dear Sir
I take the liberty of enclosing you a flower of a plant which came up in my yard,
and would be obliged if you would inform me of its name and properties — I observed
it a few months ago, coming from under the end of log of wood, which supports an iron
water tank, and being struck with its peculiar appearance, allowed it to grow, that
I might see what it would come to.
Of course, in my comparative ignorance, I may be giving unnecessary trouble, but as
I cannot ascertain what the plant is, I will be greatly obliged, if you will kindly
inform me.
Yours truly
L. Fraser
