The honorable John Macpherson,
Chief Secretary.
Sir.
I have the honor to solicit, that you may be pleased to grant permission of a few
sheets of printing being executed at the Gov. Printer's Office illustrative of the
New Guinea plants, kindly promised for our Museum by the hon. Sir Will. Macarthur.
Irrespective of the Colony thus honorably sharing in progressive science, such prints
become available for the interchanges of the public Library and other remunerative
purposes.
I have the honor to be,
Hon. Sir, your obedient
Ferd. von Mueller,
M. D.
