Let me offer my gratulation, dear Mr Ramsay, to your well earned fellowship of the L.S.

Linnean Society of London; M had asked Bentham to propose Ramsay as a Fellow; see M to G. Bentham, 2 November 1874 (in this edition as 74-11-02a). Bentham and St George Mivart were co-supporters, and Ramsay was elected on 18 February 1875.
I need hardly say, that I shall be happy to examine any fossil fruits, especially as the age of the pliocene & miocene forms is thus far not yet well fixed in Australia. I trust that some day foliage truly adherent to the various fossil fruits recently discovered will be found also, especially of
Spondylostrobus
