I have the honor to inform you, that I returned this day from my phytologic journey through the Western districts.

M collected as far west as Belfast (now Port Fairy), from where he returned by steamer Edina; 'Shipping intelligence', Argus, 8 April 1875, p. 4. Specimens, dated only to month, include Argentina anserina, MEL 2226439, from Belfast, the most westerly location recorded, and include others collected in April from Terang and Warrnambool.
