Es ist mir bis jetzt noch nicht möglich gewesen die Orchideen zu sameln in der Ferne, weil meine Frau schwer krank wurde und ich nicht fort konte, samelde aber einige welche ich Ihnen hier mit sende in der nähe No. 303 sind die Blätter des Dendrobiums welches Sie verlangten jetzt blühet eben auch das hübsche D. cucumerinum die

blumen hierbei sind von Blumenstengeln mit gegen 30 latterals jeder hatte 5 bis 7 Blumen. Ich habe wieder eine gute Samlung verschiedener Blumen getrocknet und muss eine Gelegenheit abwarden, Ihnen selbe zu senden, auf der Post als Parsel nehmen sie hier dergleichen nicht an, Solten Sie jehmals Samen von Cacteen & Succulents erhalten, wird es mich sehr freuen ein wenig davon zu bekommen.

My thanks for the seeds and the last number.
So far I have been unable to collect the orchids from any distant places, as my wife has been very sick and I could not get away. But I did collect a few, which I am sending you herewith. Somewhere around No 303 are the leaves of the Dendrobium that you requested. Just now the pretty D. cucumerinum is also flowering. The enclosed

flowers come from flowering stems with about 30 laterals, each had 5 to 7 flowers. I have again a good collection of various dried plants and am awaiting an opportunity to send them to you. They won't accept anything like that as a parcel at the Post Office here. Should you ever receive seed of Cacti and Succulents, I should be very pleased to get a little.
