of your letters & telegrams in the interest of Mr Giles & the cause of Geography & Exploration and to assure you that on receipt of Mr Giles's plans and report, all your wishes shall be attended to.

Leters not found. But they will have been concerned with publication in SA of the journal and plans of Ernest Giles's second expedition (see M to G. Bowen, 5 September 1874). The journal was published as a SA Parliamentary paper (E. Giles (1874)) and included in E. Giles (1875). The plans were published as 'Map of the country west of the telegraph line in the interior of Australia explored by Mr E.
