Dear Sir
At a meeting of the Trustees of the Royal Park held this day I have duly laid your
application and plan for fencing off an area in the Royal Park for the special use
of the Carlton Football Club before my co-trustees, and I was directed to inform you
that, with all their desire of facilitating recreative enjoyments, they for some time
have held the conviction that it is most undesirable to allow any club or society
the privilege for fencing in any portion of the public reserve in their charge, and
therefore they cannot accede to the request of the Carlton Football Club.
I remain, dear Mr. Power, regardfully yours
Ferd. von Mueller
T. Power Esq
Hon Secretary of the Carlton Football Club.
