Dear Sir
There is a friend of mine here has a Paddock which he keeps Sheep in, for about seven
months in the year. I have enclosed a plant which has sprung up in great abundance
for the last Two years, a number of the sheep are dying we are of opinion they are
getting some poisonous plant the Sheep were sound when put in, there has been a quantity
of the Black night shade in the Paddock but that is all pulled now, after being noticed
sick they generally live about 18 Hours, on being opened the Lungs are a little Black,
there is a quantity of dirty water runs from the nose, Mr Currie
advised me to write to you, your attention will oblidge,
