This morning I received from Mr Blyth

W. C. Blyth.
a box of dried plants for transmission to you, and as the "S. Cross"

Southern Cross.
will leave to-day I at once had it placed on board that vessel. I did not open the box and consequently know nothing of its contents — but hope they will be of service to you as Mr Blyth seems very anxious to do something, however little, in the cause of science, and will, I am sure, highly esteem your kindness if you will favor him with any directions you may think proper as to the best mode of collecting and forwarding specimens.
Mr Abbott informed me that you were anxious to make some additions to your last paper on Tasmanian Phytography;

I remain
Dear Sir
Very truly Yours
Thos. Roblin
