Referring to your memorandum of the 25 ult.

I am directed by the Honble the Chief Secretary to request that you will be good enough forthwith to remove from the Laboratory &c in the Botanic Gardens all property belonging to you either in your official or private capacity, and hand over the duplicate keys of the building to the Crown Lands Department. You will also please report to the Chief Secretary when this instruction has been carried out.
