May I ask you, reverend and dear friend, whether the enclosed nut, which came here with Sydney coal, is known to you, and whether any records are extant in books concerning it. I have only 2 or 3, and the dissection of more than one, which may give no result, should be avoided.
Among Leichhardt's plants some are marked in 1843 "Archer's station". Have you a recollection what place that might have been 30 years ago?
