Baron V Mueller
Melbourne
Dear Sir,
By this post we forward to you a packet containing two different weeds and which certain
prospectors tell us are a sure indication of a certain deposit in the earth's strata
—
2
Andrew Heath and Richard Blackwell had applied for a mineral lease of 250 acres to
search for tin (Ovens and Murray advertiser, 21 December 1872, p. 3). The request for M's advice may have associated with seeking
tin deposits.
Knowing that you are a high authority on such matters we should be glad to know what
they are & whether you think any particular endeavour is warranted in the neighbourhood of
their growth —. Pray excuse the trouble we are giving you
Yours respectly
Heath & Blackwell
