The honorable the Chief Secretary
Sir
I have the honor to submit for your favorable consideration a requisition for paper
&c, required for the collections recently added to those of the bot. Museum, and needed to be used for the elaboration of the 7th vol. of the Work on Australian
plants in English, on which I am now urgently engaged.
After defraying the expenses for my assistant and the attendant of the Museum, both
required for the safety of the collections and the progressive work connected therewith,
means will still be available out of the £300 voted to defray requisitions of this
kind. I have the honor to be, Sir, your obedient servant
2
Bentham (1863-78). The seventh, final, volume was much delayed.
Ferd. von Mueller,
M.D.
