John Bedford, Church Steward, Brunswick wrote to the Minister of Agriculture, J. J.
Casey, on 3 May 1873: 'I have the honor on behalf of the Trustees of the Wesleyan
Church property at Brunswick to request you to make us a gift of a few suitable shrubs
for planting in the grounds of our new church' (I73/9273, unit 750, VPRS 44/P, Public
Record Office, Victoria). M was required to resubmit all such requests on the new
form that had been devised for this purpose.
APPLICATION FOR SUPPLY.

of Brunswick
requests that he may be supplied with the following plants
from the Melbourne Botanic Garden for Wesleyan Church Reserve
