Application having been made to this Department for the sale of the unsurveyed land in the Parish of Jika Jika, situated East of the Royal Park, fronting Park Street, near the site of the Old Manure Depôt, I am directed by the Honorable the Minister of Lands and Agriculture to enquire if your trustees have any objections to urge against the granting of such application.

For an interim reply, see M to C. Hodgkinson, 21 March 1873, which also supplies the basis for dating this letter to 1873. The normal valediction and signature do not appear on the file copy of the letter.
