Letter not found. The text given here is an extract from a letter from Woolls to E. P. Ramsay, 13 January 1873 (ML MSS.563/3 E. P. Ramsay papers, Mitchell Library, State Library of New South Wales, Sydney). M’s letter is dated on the assumption that Woolls would have written to Ramsay soon after receiving it.
