Dear Sir
In the last case of specimens which I sent you there were 3 yellow plums which I had preserved in spirits — I now enclose you leaf and flower so that you may be enabled to describe them if new — I have never seen it any where else; it is a small bushy tree growing close to Salt Water, I propose sending you by the next steamer direct to Sydney, a case of Orchids which as they are getting scarce here may be difficult to get by and by time to time and will continue to collect anything I can get from time to time and forward to you. In the case with the orchids I will send a lot of fresh palm seeds — & , and any others I may get in time, as they are ripe just now — — — —
Yours truly
E Fitzalan
