Sir
I have the honor to inform you that at a full meeting of the trustees of the Royal
Park, held this day, your kind and favorable propositions in reference to the conservation
of the Park were carefully considered, and that the chairman of the meeting, T. Sumner
Esq., was requested to communicate to you at an early date the views entertained by the trustees on your considerate proposals.

The Trustees had requested a meeting (M to J. Grant, 25 October 1872) and a meeting on 30 October was notified in J. Lewis to M, 29 October 1872. The report of the discussion with the deputation (D. Moore, R. Brough Smyth, and M, introduced by R. Ramsay, MLA) that met with J. Casey, Minister of Lands (Argus, 1 November 1872, p. 7) outlines the concerns of the Trustees and the views of the Government.
I have the honor to be Sir
Your obedt. servant
Ferd. von Mueller MD.
Hon. Sec. Trust. Royal Park
The Honorable the President of the Board of Lands & Works.
