The first numeral in the date appears to be written over a previous '6'.
You will find, dear Mr Bentham, that among the specimens of Dendrobium teretifolium,
sent by me, are some with more slender leaves, a somewhat different inflorescence
& slight other characteristics upon which Mr Fitzgerald & myself have separated it
as D. Fairfaxii.

D. Fairfaxii
as a distinct species.
