) im lebenden Zustand gesandt, der sich wohl ebenso leicht wieder belauben wird, als es die alten Stämme von
Encephalartos

aus Natal u dem Kafferland thun, wenn man sie unter Glass in Bodenwärme bringt.
Ich würde rathen, den Stamm erst wohl durchzuräuchern, ehe er ins Treibhaus kommt, um die Larva u Ova von Bohrkäfern oder andern Insekten zu zerstören.
Meine Agenten, Mess Blackith & Co sind beauftragt Ihnen den Stamm kostenfrei zuzusenden.

which will probably grow fronds again just as easily as the old trunks of
Encephalartos

from Natal and Kaffirland, when they are brought under glass and given bottom heat.
I would advise to smoke the trunk well before placing it in the glasshouse, to destroy any larvae and eggs of boring beetles or other insects.
