By this post, dear Dr Hector, I beg to send you such numbers and plates of my "Fragmenta"
as are still obtainable
but I regret I cannot make your set complete. The work was published in a comparatively
small number of copies only, but unexpectedly was distributed to all members of Parliament,
Mechanics Institutes &c and thus the supply became exhausted after the sale of many
copies.

Hector had requested parts that he lacked in J. Hector to M, 2 July 1872.
