MS annotation by Kane, 31 May 1872: 'Thank him & say that the L. C. [Local Committee] have been asked to say how many trees & shrubs the ground is prepared for'. The letter
was sent to M accordingly on 3 June; letter not found.
29./5./72.
It will afford me much pleasure, dear Mr Kane, to supply the needful plants for the
School Reserve of Avoca, if early arrangements for delivery can be made at my office.
I should also require to know, for
how many trees
and
how many shrubs
the ground is
actually prepared
.
With best salutation
