Referring to memorandum from this office AB, No 98 of the 19th ultimo requesting the return of the account mentioned in the margin,

Memorandum not found. Marginal annotation: '£1.4.10 to reimburse Agent General requires an account of Botanical Gardens 1870'.

and to your reply thereto of the 21st idem,

Letter not found.

I beg to inform you that the Votes of 1870 having now lapsed, the transfer alluded to in your memorandum cannot be sanctioned.

I must therefore again request that the account may be duly certified and returned to this office in order that it may be further dealt with.
