received yesterday, I have the honor to inform you for communication to the Commissioners of the Industrial Museum, that I will undertake to deliver a lecture at their hall on the day indicated, if not unforeseen hinderances occur.

M was initially invited to lecture on 2 November but, in the event, he did so on 23 November 1871.
My theme will be: "The objects of a botanic Garden in relation to industries".
