Sir
In accordance with a resolution of the Trustees of the Royal Park, passed at a meeting
held this day, I have the honor to inform you of the Trustees permission that the
Borough Council of Brunswick may enlarge the area of its cricket ground in the Royal
Park by a width of 200 feet at a length of 800 feet on one side, and by a width of 100' also at a length of 800' on an other side as indicated in the marginal sketch,
but while the Trustees grant this concession with a view of seeing your plans for
ealy
planting of the above indicated area carried out they sanction this enlargement of
your cricket ground only on a distinct understanding that the fencing should be performed
to entire satisfaction of the honorary Manager of the Park Alb Le Souef Esq., that
the fences should always be kept in proper repair and the trees be satisfactorily
attended to at all seasons

The permission was revoked unless the proposed development was revised so that it did not take in parts of a park road; see M to F. Miles, 8 July 1871.
I have the honor to be Sir
Your obedient
F. von Mueller
Hon Sec. Trust. Roy. Park
